Calapooia District
The Cascade Pacific Council is divided into 15 geographical districts. The Calapooia District is the southernmost district of the council serving 250 adult mentors and over 750 youth. The Calapooia District serves Scouting in the Greater Albany, Lebanon, Sweet Home, Jefferson, Scio, and Central Linn School Districts. Cub Scouts Packs generally serve Elementary Schools and Scouts BSA Troops serve the Middle and High Schools in each community.
The Calapooia District is served by one professional staff member and leads a team of adult volunteer mentors to administer the Scouting program to youth members in the community. The adult volunteer mentors may serve as a leader in a pack or troop or participate on the district committee. The district committee provides services and program support to local Scout leaders. The district committee is led by a district chairman and is responsible for district membership, fundraising, leader training, the youth advancement program, and camping opportunities.
The council offers summer camp opportunities and wonderful facilities to provide excitement and enhance a pack or troop’s Scouting experience.
